COLLECTIONS

  • Hollywood Never Could Get You Right

“Hollywood Never Could Get You Right” is about the search for beauty during distressing times, the hunt for hope amongst confusion, and the pursuit of solace through the sharing of stories, perspectives and interpretations.

  • The Golden Age

“The Golden Age” is a series of Collages using imagery from the Golden Age of American comics (1940’s and 50’s), subverting their original narratives to tell stories about being an artist: exploring the creative process, the artistic pursuit, and the effects of these ambitions.

  • It's Complicated

A commissioned series of Collages using imagery from the golden age of comics created for “It’s Complicated” on The Cut, a column featuring a rotating list of guest writers telling “stories on the sometimes frustrating, sometimes confusing, always engrossing subject of modern relationships.”

  • Road And Track

Since the autumn of 2020, I’ve been illustrating the Department of Overthinking column in Road & Track magazine, the historic auto-enthusiast periodical first published in 1947 and owned by Hearst Communications.

  • Commissions

Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of creating artwork to both accompany spaces and interpret the written word, drawing upon my source imagery’s power to orchestrate visual associations for viewers when subverted and recomposed in the grand symphony of a Collage.

  • Technical Difficulties

Amidst an ambiguous dystopia, bathed in black & white, “Technical Difficulties” collages together a wide range of photography to explore parallel wars, drawing connections between burgeoning technology, environmental concerns and political anxiety.

  • City Of Transients

“City Of Transients" explores immigration and it's effects on interpersonal relationships, using comics from the Philippines as source imagery to create new narratives with a stylistic nod to American Pop Art to parallel the theme of outsiders experiencing and delving into a foreign culture.

  • Miscellanea

These works may not have a series to call home, however they’ve led to the germination of all the collections on this website. These beloved orphans encompass seeds and trials, works rejected by clients to one-off experiments.
